What Is Protected
All source code (React, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL)
All calculator formulas as implemented (the mathematical formulas themselves are not copyrightable, but our specific implementations are)
All written content, including Knowledge Base articles, Glossary definitions, and blog posts
All UI design, visual design system, and layout
All promotional copy, messaging, and brand voice
The PromoGrind logo, favicon, and all associated artwork
All Supabase Edge Function implementations
Permitted Use
You may:
Use PromoGrind's calculators for personal, non-commercial promo conversion math
Share PromoGrind's URL on social media, forums, and communities
Quote brief excerpts from our educational content with clear attribution and a link back to the source
Access the Public Calculator API as documented at /promogrind/calc-api/ within the stated usage limits
Prohibited Use
You may not, without prior written permission:
Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display substantial portions of our content
Create derivative works based on our source code or design
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform
Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract content from PromoGrind beyond what is permitted for search engine indexing
Use our brand names or trademarks in a way that implies affiliation, endorsement, or sponsorship
Build a competing product substantially derived from PromoGrind's code, design, or content
DMCA Takedown Policy
VaultSpark Studios respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. If you believe that content on PromoGrind infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice.
How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice
Your written notice must include all of the following:
Your full legal name and contact information (address, phone, email)
A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
A description of the allegedly infringing material and its location on PromoGrind (URL)
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf
Note on false claims: Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), submitting a false DMCA takedown notice may result in liability for damages. Please ensure your claim is valid before submitting.
Counter-Notice Procedure
If you believe content was removed or disabled as a result of a DMCA notice in error, you may file a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:
Your full legal name and contact information
Identification of the removed content and its prior location
A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification
Your consent to jurisdiction in the federal district court for your address (or your district if outside the US)
